Sunday School News

Good morning, dear parents, and students of the Bradley Street Church of God.  I am excited you are here, and I thank you for entrusting your children to our Sunday school program.
I would like to introduce myself as the new Sunday School Ministry leader here at Bradley St Church. My name is Sue Thiessen, I have been married to Isaak Thiessen for almost 24 years and we have two wonderful grown children, Bowen (19) and Heidi (17).
I have attended the Bradley St Church of God since I was 8 years old. I too graduated from our Sunday School program and later spent my teens in the Youth here at the church. I can say I have no regrets! There is something incredibly special about belonging to the family of God and having a ‘family’ to gather with on a weekly basis.
I started teaching Sunday School in 2009 and have been a teacher for most of the last 15 years. I look forward to serving our Church as the Sunday School Ministry Leader and would like to encourage you to come to me with any questions or concerns. We currently have ten teachers that consistently teach and rotate on a regular basis. Add to that, five substitute teachers that are always willing to step in when their help is needed. The younger classrooms also have several helpers. Thank you to each and every teacher and helper for all you do.
Thank you, parents, for giving us the privilege of being a part of your child’s faith journey!

Upcoming Events

🎓  Sunday School Graduation  🎓

Everyone is invited to our Sunday School Graduation service on July 7 at 11am. There are six grade 8 students graduating this year. Let us encourage these young people as they make this transition from Sunday School to our Youth program.

Bible Memory Verse Challenge

Congratulations! Our bible memory verse challenge this year was a great success. We challenged our students to memorize Psalm 139:1-18. Depending on the age groups, there were different expectations. The younger classes were challenged to memorize the first 10 to 12 verses, and the three older classes were challenged to memorize all 18 verses. Yes, the students were rewarded with prizes as an incentive to learn the scripture. In total, more than thirty $5 gift cards were rewarded to students who put in the hard work. Thank you, parents, for helping along with this.
